Athletics at Shorecrest
The Shorecrest Chargers Athletics Mission is to educate student-athletes through competitive opportunities and the life lessons of commitment, self-discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork.
Participation in Chargers Athletics interscholastic teams starts in sixth grade. Nearly 70% of the Upper School student body participates in at least one sport.
We just kicked off our Homecoming football game against Lake Mary Preparatory School and we are bringing so much Charger pride ⚡️ here are some of our favorite moments from this afternoon’s pep rally!

Just a few hours away from honoring our Varsity Football, Cheerleading and Golf seniors and crowning this year’s Homecoming Court 👑 But first, it’s time to bring the Chargers spirit at this afternoon’s pep rally!

What a fantastic night celebrating our three Swim & Dive seniors yesterday ⚡️💚
Our coaches had dinner delivered to the pool and, while the team shared a meal, each senior was recognized by Head Coach Patty Nardozzi. Then, a teammate spoke about their individual accomplishments and contributions to the team.
During a break in the meet, they were each recognized with a family portrait, a flower leis, an embroidered towel, and a flower bouquet for the parents.
The team closed out the night with the “Senior Dive,” where they jumped off the dive board and a slideshow of their photos played on the jumbo screen. So much fun!
Congratulations to Tristan, Ryan and Bella! We are so proud of all you have poured into this program 🏆🏊♂️

Two meets in one week ⚡️🏃
Our Varsity Cross Country team has a busy week of racing. First up, the Chargers take on the City Championship today at 5PM before heading back to the course this Saturday at 8AM for the Clearwater Central Catholic Invite.

Our Middle School teams have been busy! ⚡️From the court to the course to the field, our Chargers have been competing hard.
🏐 Middle School Green Volleyball competed in the GEM tournament, and both teams took some time off the court for a fun Big Sister/Little Sister matchup.
⛳ Middle School Golf hit the course and got some competition in.
🏈📣 Middle School Football and Cheerleading played their final home game last week.

Welcome to Shorecrest ⚽️
We’re thrilled to welcome Rachel Jolley as our new Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach!
A former Division I soccer player at the University of South Alabama, Coach Jolley brings a deep love of the game and a passion for developing confident, well-rounded athletes. She holds her USSF D License and has been recognized as PCAC Coach of the Year and a Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach for her commitment to both player development and character building.
Her work extends far beyond the field. In 2023, Rachel founded Rise Up Soccer Club, a free-to-play program empowering girls at Title I schools through soccer and mentorship. She now serves as Program & Marketing Director for the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation, leading community-driven initiatives that expand access to soccer for local youth.
We’re so excited to have her leadership, experience and heart guiding our Varsity Chargers Girls Soccer program 💚
