How do athletes and parents gain access to TeamSnap?
Before each season students have the opportunity to sign up for sports they are interested in participating in during the upcoming months. Signups are advertised in advance in school communications. The signups last one week and take place in the Athletic Center office. The names from the signups are then added to a preseason roster on TeamSnap for that particular sport.
For example, students interested in soccer will sign up for soccer in the Athletic Office during the week of September 1-5. These students are then added to a Preseason soccer roster on TeamSnap.
If a student has never been a member of a TeamSnap roster before (i.e. new athletes, new Shorecrest students, and rising sixth graders), TeamSnap will send an invitation to the student’s Shorecrest email account. Students must accept this invite and then TeamSnap communications from coaches and teammates will begin.
Parents will begin receiving TeamSnap communications AFTER their child has accepted the invite.
