IMPORTANT:
All athletes must be cleared through the Athletics Clearance System 72 hours before tryouts.
Athletes that fail to do this will not be allowed to participate in the first day of tryouts or any day following until their clearance is approved.

Fall Varsity Cheerleading: (Open to students in grades 9-12)

Shorecrest has a fall varsity cheerleading team that cheers for varsity football and a winter varsity cheerleading team that cheers for varsity basketball (home and select away) games. The fall season is from August through November, and the winter season is from mid-November through early February. Cheerleaders will also be expected to participate in various school spirit events including the school pep rally during their specific seasons.
Fall Tryout Dates:
- Wednesday, July 9th, 4-6pm
- Thursday, July 10th, 4-5pm
- Team Announced: Friday, July 11th
Mandatory NEW uniform fitting:
Monday, July 14, Varsity – 12:00 pm in the Athletic Center
Mandatory Cheer Prep Camp:
Tuesday, July 22 – Thursday, July 24, 4pm – 6pm
(Camp participation is required for those who made the team.)
Regular team practices start on Tuesday, August 12 and are held every Tuesday/Thursday from 4:30-6pm.
Fall Middle School Cheerleading: (Open to students in grades 6-8)

The fall middle school cheerleading season is from August through November, and the winter middle school cheerleading season is from mid-November through late January. For tryouts and cheer camp, the team will meet in the lobby of the athletic center and then head to the track. Please wear sunblock, bring a full water bottle and a positive attitude!

Regular team practices start on Thursday, August 14, and are held every Monday and Wednesday from 3:20-4:30pm; and Thursday 3:20-4:30pm unless there is a scheduled MS football game. The team will meet in the athletic center, dressed out, with water, ready to head to the MS Quad. (There will not be practice on the first half days of school – August 20 & 21).
