ECG Screenings and Athletics Physicals on Campus
The Shorecrest Chargers Athletics Department is committed to the health and safety of our student athletes and to closely following the guidelines set forth by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). In accordance with Florida Senate Bill 1070, all rising 9th grade student athletes (current 8th graders) and all new student athletes entering grades 10-12 must complete an echocardiogram screening to participate in interscholastic athletic competition in the 2026-2027 school year. Shorecrest is hosting a school-day ECG Screening Event to help athletes in the Class of 2030 complete this requirement.

ATHLETIC PHYSICALS – Saturday, May 2
Shorecrest also provides an opportunity for student athletes to complete their required physicals at school and before summer practices begin. We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity. Screenings will be performed by Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
